The Science Department offers a well-defined four-year program which adapts to all levels of learning abilities. By utilizing our five well-equipped laboratories our students are presented the opportunity to experience hands-on science experiments and demonstrations, two important components of the scientific method learning process.
Our curriculum is centered on the fundamentals of biology, chemistry and physics. Several Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered in addition to challenging elective classes such as Meteorology and Marine Biology.
In addition to their regular coursework, students have the opportunity to participate in both the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science and Science Olympiad competitions where they can work on a faculty-assisted project and then present their findings at annual competitions.
